Furthest Step

For owners and managers of sales teams

See the step that is losing the sale. While the shift is still on.

Every rep sees where their conversations break down and corrects their own approach. You see who still needs coaching, and on what. Works on any phone, even with no signal.

Watch the 3 minute demo

From $199 a month for up to 5 reps. Up to 10 reps is $349. Every upgrade included. 14 days free.

Built by David Borske, field sales trainer, Charlotte NC. In use today with a fiber door to door team.

The real app, start to finish

Watch a rep fix her own leak, then see what the manager sees.

About three minutes. Every screen is the actual app, shown with an example team.

  1. 0:00One tap per conversation
  2. 0:10What D P C S means, and how to read it
  3. 0:41The rep sees where today is breaking down
  4. 0:53The game board: in bounds and out of bounds

How it works

One tap after every conversation.

The rep taps the furthest step the conversation reached. Every earlier step counts too. About ten seconds, even with no signal.

  • DDoor. They reached the decision maker.
  • PPresentation. They gave the pitch.
  • CClose. They asked for the business. Close does not mean they got the deal.
  • SSale. They said yes.
How to read it: fix the step right before the drop.
  • Talking to decision makers, but not getting to present? Fix the door.
  • Presenting, but not asking for the business? Fix the presentation.
  • Asking for the business, but not getting the sale? Fix how you ask.
Rep counters for today: 18 made contact, 11 presentations, asked for the business 4 times, 1 sale
Where today is breaking down: door to presentation 58 percent, presentation to asking for the business 36 percent, asking to sale 25 percent

Where the app really shines

Reps see where they are breaking down, and correct it themselves.

Right on their phone, each rep sees where today is breaking down. In the example, Tasha asked for the business on only 4 of 11 presentations. Presenting, but not asking for the business, so her fix is the presentation. Nobody had to tell her.

  • Each bar is the share that made it from the step before
  • When a bar is low, it tells her which step to fix
  • This week so far: how often she asks for the business, how often asking turns into a sale, and doors per sale
  • Her own numbers, not a team average

The game board

Treat sales like a game. Stay in bounds.

The board is the field. Everything on it is in the rep's control: Pace, Pitch and Attitude, each habit with a plain explanation. When a rep focuses on what they control, they stay in bounds. When they focus on what they cannot control, like the turf or the weather, they are out of bounds, and their attitude goes with it.

Game board list of Pace habits such as Practice the Pitch Out Loud and Set Your Door Goal

Every item on the field

Pace, Pitch and Attitude, with habits like Set Your Door Goal, Get Every Decision Maker in the Conversation and Assume The Sale. Each one says what to do and why it works.

Search result: That's an objection. It's in bounds, it's yours to handle, with A.I.R. and Feel Felt Found

In bounds: search it

Same problem keeps happening? Type it. "Too expensive" is an objection, so it is in bounds. The board gives the A.I.R. and Feel, Felt, Found response, ties it to the rep's own numbers, and asks: are you closing with confidence? Yes or Not yet.

Out of bounds result: That call was not yours, with the chain focus goes, attitude drops, pace drops, and a counter of 1 thing outside your control today

Out of bounds: it counts

"My manager gave me a bad turf" is out of bounds. The app shows the chain: focus goes to something you cannot move, attitude drops, pace drops, and the door that does open gets the worst version of you. It counts how many times today, then puts them right back on the board.

Out of bounds is a focus reminder for the rep, not a write up. The search matches what they type against the board, so the answers are the same trusted plays every time.

Callbacks and follow ups

Told to come back at 6? It makes sure they do.

For door to door teams, a callback is a sale waiting to happen. Reps pin the door, set the time and add a name in a few taps.

  • An alert 10 minutes before and at the time, even with the app closed
  • A leave by alert based on how far away they are
  • A warning when they are too far to make it on time
  • An opener ready to go: "I said I would come back, and I wanted to keep my word"
  • Follow ups for anything else they promised, by visit, call or text
  • Location stays on the rep's phone

Goals, pace and routine

As deep as each rep wants to go.

Some reps just tap and go. Others want to build a plan. The goals and routine pages are there for every rep who wants to grow.

30 day business goal with S M A R T letters lighting up

SMART goals

A helper starts with "What do you not want anymore?" As they type a 30, 60 or 90 day goal, each SMART letter lights up when the goal gets sharper.

My pace: $5,000 a month at $100 a sale is 50 sales a month. Talk to 28 decision makers a day

Their pace, in plain math

$5,000 a month at $100 a sale is 50 sales a month. From their own numbers, that is 28 decision makers a day, and it shows how improving one step cuts the work.

Does my routine support my goals? 9 of 10, Strong

A routine that is scored

Type or photograph a routine and it becomes a morning and evening checklist, scored on whether it actually supports their goals, with what to add next.

For managers and owners

Know exactly who to coach, and on what.

The whole team funnel, everyone ranked, and where each person is leaking against your team median. In the example, Diego is asking but not getting the sale, so you coach how he asks. Tasha is presenting but not asking, so you coach her presentation. Priya is not getting to present, so you coach her door.

Built for teams that are growing

You and your trainers cannot be at every door. This puts coaching there anyway.

At 5 reps you can ride along with each one. At 20 or 30 you cannot. Furthest Step puts eyes, training and help where you simply cannot be all the time.

Every rep, every day

Every conversation gets logged, so you see how every rep is doing, not just the ones you rode with.

New hires coached from day one

The board answers the same questions you would, the same way, even on days nobody rides with them.

Your time goes where it matters

The leak view shows who needs you first and on what, so you coach the right rep instead of guessing.

Example only: if one sale is worth $100 to your office, four extra sales a month across the whole team cover Crew.

Retail sales floor

Not door to door?

Set up for your kind of sales team.

Every sale has steps, a close and objections. David sets the app up for how your team sells: your steps, your objections and talk tracks, your standards.

  • Door to door: fiber, solar, pest, roofing, home services
  • Retail floors: a retail version already exists
  • In home and appointment sales
  • Callbacks and follow ups for any team that has to come back

Your first 14 days

Three moments, then you decide with your own numbers.

  1. Day 1

    One link, one practice log

Everyone opens one link on their phone and logs a practice conversation. No download.

  2. Week 1

    The board is the meeting

The morning meeting starts on yesterday's board. One strength and one leak per rep.

  3. Day 14

    Keep it or cancel

Compare your own numbers to the weeks before. Keep it, or cancel and pay nothing.

Tip. Sell it to reps as their coach, not the boss watching.

Tip. In week one, reward logging, not sales.

Tip. On Friday, shout out the rep whose weakest step improved most.

Questions

What owners ask before they start.

My reps will not log. Why would this be different?

It asks for one tap, not a form. About ten seconds after a conversation, and the rep gets something back right away: where their own day is breaking down. You also see who is logging, so it becomes part of the day.

We already have a CRM or a map app. Do we need this?

Those track addresses, pins and leads. Furthest Step tracks how each conversation went and coaches the rep on it. Keep your map app for where to go, and use this for what happens at the door.

What happens in the 14 days?

David sets up your team with your objections and standards. Your reps open one link and start logging. You watch the board for two weeks. Nothing is charged during the 14 days.

What if there is no signal at the door?

Taps are saved on the phone and sync on their own when the signal comes back. Saved taps sync when the connection returns.

Is it only for door to door?

No. Every sale has steps, a close and objections. David sets it up for how your team sells, with your steps, objections, talk tracks and standards. A retail floor version already exists.

Does the game board search use AI?

No. It matches what the rep types against the plays on the board, so the answer is the same trusted response every time.

Who sees the numbers?

Reps see their own numbers and coaching. Managers see their teams. Owners control every key and can remove access at any time.

What happens after the 14 days?

Your plan starts at its regular price: $199 a month for Starter (up to 5 reps), $349 for Crew (up to 10), $599 for Team (up to 20) or $849 for Office (up to 30). Pay yearly and you get 12 months for the price of 10. That is the whole price, shown here up front, and every upgrade is included. No long term contract on monthly.

Will my price go up?

Your price is locked for 12 months from the day you start. Prices for new customers may change over time. If yours ever changes after your 12 months, you will hear from David at least 30 days ahead, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

What if my team grows?

Text David and he moves you to the plan that fits your team.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Text or email David to cancel. Cancel during the 14 days and you pay nothing. After that, cancel any month.
